Choosing your newborn photographer is an important decision. Newborn photography is a skillful technique and requires training to place your baby into the correct poses and transition safely from each one.

I am proud to be a qualified Newborn Photographer and am committed to producing the highest standards of safety and design in my work.

  • When should I book my session?
The sooner the better, I recommend booking your newborn session after your 20 weeks scan. This makes sure availability around your due date is confirmed. I aim to photograph newborns between 4-14 days old, although I will accept newborn bookings up to 8 weeks of age.
  • What happened if baby arrives earlier or later than my ‘due date’?
Not to worry, only around 5% of babies arrive on their due date. I am able to allow lots of wiggle room in my diary for early or late arrivals. When you book your newborn photography session I place a note of your due date as a guide. Once baby is here and within the first couple of days I ask you to contact me to arrange a convenient date and time for your session.
  • How long do newborn sessions last?
I offer a petite session which is 1 hour and 30 minutes or a full newborn session which is 3 hours. Some of this time will be dedicated to soothing, feeding and posing your baby. All my session are baby led and I go at their pace, to ensure baby is happy and settled at all time.
  • What do we need for our session?
I provide all props, wraps, nappy covers, accessories and so on for your session. Please have available your usual baby supplies and plenty of feeds, not applicable if breast feeding. If you have anything of value to you that you would like to be present in your photographs, I am happy to incorporate these just let know prior to the session.
  • What if my baby has red / flaky skin?
Lots of newborn babies have marks, stractches or bumpy skin. This is completely normal to have any marks from birth or scratches from their tiny fingernails. I am a professional retoucher and all this can be taken care of in post production to reduce the look of these.
  • What happens after our session?
At the end of your session, I will go away and edit your gallery. This can take a maximum of 2 weeks for your images to get to you. The images will be provided to you on your own personal online gallery where you can select your favourite images and download straight from there.
  • How many weeks should I be for maternity photographs?
For maternity photographs I would suggest around 30 weeks, all pregancies are different but I have found this to be the perfect stage to capture with your bump being beautiful and round. Also means you have a nice high bump before baby starts to drop.
  • Do you provide dresses?
I currently provide two beautiful handmade dresses for you to wear. The dresses can fit a varierty of sizes such as from size 6 to 16. They are lovely and lightweight and hang in all the right places.
  • Do you work weekends?
Yes I do, alot of my clients love their partners to be in their photographs so I like to keep weekend dates open for you to have them present.
  • What should I bring with me?
I have a selection of dresses for you to wear, however if you have a favourite dress or accessorie you would love to wear please bring it along to your photoshoot. Also once you have book your session, we will send you a guide on what to bring and how to prepare.
  • Can my partner and other children be included with the session?
Yess!! Of course, you are all going through this journey together and what better way than to capture everyone together.
  • How do I book?

  • What is included in a 1st birthday session?
What better way to capture your little ones first birthday than a photoshoot. Depending on your choosen package will determine what is included for example: A petite session includes: Some lovely portraits of your little in there beautiful outfit choosen by you. Then the cake smash part (the best and most fun part) Full session includes: Some lovely portraits of your little in there beautiful outfit choosen by you. Then the cake smash part (the best and most fun part) I offer a 'splash session' in a small bath tub either filled with fruit or bubbles or milky water. What better way than getting all messy then having a lovely warm bath to ceal off. Cake must be provided by yourself however I can recommend some amazing local bakers that create beautiful cakes for the sessions.
  • Can my partner and other children be present in the shoot?
Yess!! Of course, you are all going through this journey together and what better way than to capture everyone together.

  • When shall I book?
It is always best to try book in advance so it allows myself and you the time to discuss the type of photographs you are looking for and in particular if you would like a themed photoshoot. Some people like to book their photoshoot a couple weeks before their little ones birthday so they can use the pictures for invitations if they are hosting a party or to have them already when their birthday comes around.
